Going deeper

Spotting revisions reliably

Comparing two versions of a contract or report by eye is error-prone — small changes hide in dense paragraphs, and reviewers tend to find what they expect to find rather than what's actually there. An automated diff highlights every change, in every paragraph, on every page, with no fatigue.

The comparison is page-by-page and word-by-word. For digital PDFs (those with selectable text), the tool can do a semantic diff that recognizes when a word was changed vs. when text was added or removed. For scanned PDFs, the comparison is purely visual — overlaying page renders to spot differences.

Common use cases are contract revisions (was anything slipped in or removed between v3 and v4?), report revisions (did the numbers change between drafts?), and audit (does this 'final' version match the version we approved?). The diff report can be downloaded as an HTML file you can share with reviewers.
