Why convert JPGs to PDF
Converting JPGs to PDF turns a folder of disconnected images into a single, ordered, easy-to-share document. That matters most when you're sending receipts to an expense system, sharing scanned ID documents with a bank, or bundling design mockups for a client review. Email systems handle one PDF more reliably than ten image attachments, and the recipient sees pages in the right order.
For best results, normalize your source images first. If the images are huge (5+ MB each, from a phone camera), compress them with Compress Image before the conversion — you'll get a much smaller PDF and faster uploads. If you have a mix of JPGs and PNGs, convert PNGs to JPG first so the PDF has consistent image quality throughout.
If you need searchable text in the resulting PDF (for example, scanned contracts), this image-to-PDF path won't add an OCR layer. You can still extract the text later with PDF to Text, which uses optical character recognition on each page.
